Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a treatment to quickly increase oxygen levels in the blood which is essential for wound healing. It is indicated for chronic wounds that have low oxygen levels. It works by compressing 100% oxygen to allow it to travel further into the wounds. These high levels of oxygen will supercharge the healing cells while they are also toxic to wound bacteria.
